Sould have been four when a shocker of an error by Hladky almost let Mads in although he claimed a penalty the keeper did manage to get an arm to the ball and clear it, Mads was less than impressed with the decision and was still whinging about it when he was substituted. As always Fantastic's substitutions tend to make things worse and sure enough Moore heads in at the back post from Davis cross to the back post, ad the feeling this wasn't a consolation. Sure enough three minutes from the end a scramble great save by Woodman to deny Al Hamadi ball ran loose to Moore 3-2. Moore header welll saved by Woodman and a Hutchinson effort narrowly over the top, just about hung on to the win against a very good side, one thing never changes though Woodman made his obligatory appearance as a sub in teh 94th minute Preston boss Ryan Lowe told BBC Radio Lancashire: "I thought the lads were fantastic from start to finish in everything they did. "First half was great because we scored goals and went in 3-0 but you always know a good team like Ipswich are going to come out and fight, and they did. "Bringing on a player like Kieffer Moore can cause you problems, they were a little bit more direct, but I thought our lads dealt with large parts of it very well. "Obviously, the goals [conceded] were disappointing, but it doesn't really matter because we've got three points." Ipswich head coach Kieran McKenna told BBC Radio Suffolk: "When you concede two unfortunate goals in the first eight or nine minutes, it's the worst situation it could be because Preston can then defend their box with a lot of bodies. "Our play in the final third wasn't at the level we want it to be but that was exaggerated by the scoreline which dictated the tone and feel of the game. "In the second half, we produced a really good performance which deserved to get something out of the game. "His [Moore] impact was there for all to see, he was excellent. I don't think it would have been right [to start him], he hasn't even trained with the group."
another good read, thanks. on twitter a lot of your fans were hoping for a defeat so that would help get rid of Lowe. After such a great start to this season things have gone a bit iffy, though you have beaten both us & Leeds recently,I would say Leeds was probably the bigger scalp due to our recent form.
don't much about him to be honest. at least if he goes you won't get Colin I assume they were magnanimous in defeat.
