no reason why not. they have always had the players capable, we all know that, just for whatever reason didn't want to believe jose was as useless as he was. fun whilst it lasted though
United players clearly did not want to play for Jose Mourinho. Their new manager Olly is on honeymoon. They won against Tottenham, sterner tests to come . Wish him luck though but not at the expense of Liverpool charging for the title..
I don't think they will have a sterner test than spurs. I felt they rode their luck an awful lot in that second half and were hanging on but spurs were just shooting at de gea and snatching at chances. Everything solksjaer has done is exactly what I would have done. Dropped the donkeys, given pogba a platform to indulge his ego, played runners up front with real pace. They've basically blown most sides off the park by running and pogba proving his point. Not to denigrate the pacy front men they can also finish but if you've the pace use it. their record just and from 6-5-5 (mid tbale at best) to 12-5-5, level on points with arsenal in 5th with only 2 goals off them for 5th spot. they've doubled the goal scored tally IMO everything he has done is things that we don't like against us. I hope gomez is fully back and playing well for that away game.
Apparently Daniel Levy is extremely honest but the chairmen of the other top 6 teams are lying thieves. Levy doesn’t get the going rate for chairman though. He’s the top earner in the whole league. Admittedly we only have one chairman but why can we pay him the big bucks but not players? Maybe I’m old school but on the pitch is the most important place still."(quote) "Maybe we are just honest about how much Levy gets? I am sure that the people in similar positions at City United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal receive similar amounts to Daniel, but my guess is that some of its is hidden in properties, freebies and tax avoidance schemes." #374 The Changing Man, Today at 7:31 AM Gotta love the Spuds delusion, it's hilarious.
I reckon we will be easier for them than spurs. spurs ran them off the park second half. the game was won cos spurs missed a shed load of chances and utd scored on off a poor trippier error (and a perfect finish) I don't think we will run utd off the park at their ground sorry. we will compete, we need to take the chance that comes and not miss it (mane) Cheslea... don't think so either. cheslea won't out compete them in the middle either And then we have city... city are everyeon's test.
they will have anthony taylor "i don't support utd honest" reffing no doubt and they are at home not away.
I think too much is being made of this win at Spurs. The Londoners were tired after their exhausting match against Chelsea. They had a key CM injured and replaced mid match. Their squad is getting really down to the bone. And whilst the GK is an amazing shot stopper (I think the best in the world) the finishing from Spurs wasn't that great and Spurs did dominate the 2nd half. I'd like to see them cope with a reverse and see how they recover. I still think that top 4 is beyond them although their 6th place looks unassailable now. Of course we will have to play well and take our chances. I just hope that they are not still on their free wheeling mode when they meet us. When we played them at Anfield they played like frightened pupils being asked to audition for a critical teacher. But as long as we are able to contain their attack and not give them silly chances we should beat them.
And yet the tag against klopp despite being in both european comp finals is he hasnt won anything! ****ing hilarious isnt it.
That's really fantasy land. I cannot see that happening and 4th is surely beyond them. Although after the Mourinho debacle that would feel like a title win for them. In fact worth more than the title for Woodward and the Glazers in terms of money and marketing worth. I sometimes wonder whether they are starting a new concept in English football. The idea of a co-op set up in management where the players have more say and make decisions on the best tactical plan. I honestly think Solsjkear interferes very little and gives them a free rein. I would not be surprised after the period of senseless dictatorship from their previous manager.
Keane looks 100% better than last season and back to the level that made Koeman spunk £20m on him. Lookman just needs games and a team in a bit better form.
ok... lets just look at my fantasy 1. Utd points. 41. Arsenal points 41. Chelsea points 47. Spurs points 48 2. 4 games: utd 4 games. Brighton H, Burnley H, Leicester A,Fulham A theres 12 points. they have won 6 in a row. They should win all 4 of those games. 3. Cheslea (lets ignore arsenal for a moment as the gap i am saying might close is chelsea.) next 4 games Arsenal H, Bournemouth A, Hudderfield H, Man City A Now are you telling me Cheslea will win all 4? with 2 top 4 rivals in there? We need to wake up here. MY claim is they will have won 10 in a row by the time they play us and will be looking to beat us to go 4th. I don't see too much fantasy in that claim. also don't worry about new concepts and stuff like that. Thats not what is happening at utd.
No lukaku (bar subbing on later in games, my god hes ballooned in weight) No felliani Pogba playing a free midfield role to do what he likes Rashford no 9 (can run and shoot) Martial Lingard Its not really rocket science to see what you've got and go attack these sides.
