Yeah.... that’s silly. He did have a good game, though. Pretty much everyone did. No one really stood out (in a good way, because everyone was good), but you probably have to give it to JWP or Romeu for the way we controlled the midfield and the game.
Apart from should have scored a third against 10 men I can't criticise that performance. Defended better in 2nd half than the first and looked a threat going forward. Everton didn't play that badly, Saints were just tgat much better. When was the last time Saints had a positive goal difference?
Great win, made even sweeter that the comments on the Everton forum have gone from: "Not one of them would get in our XI" "Ings is their only player worth worrying about - keep him quiet and we win" To an absolute meltdown: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/...erton-sunday-25-october-14-00.111343/page-205 They have turned on James for only being good when they're winning - Allan and Doucoure also now "not the enforcers we once thought" F*cking love it - they make us lot look rational!!
The top 6 reads: Everton Liverpool Aston Villa Leeds Southampton Crystal Palace I mean, what the hell? Looks like a table from the 1980's.
Wtf is going on? A home win with a clean sheet against a team top of the table?! What a bloody brilliant start to the season. COYR
No chance in a million years to reach the ball. Dangled his leg; studs up, intentionally. Got exactly what it deserved. Ps. Loved the moaning as well. Made him look absolute class.
Strufe! Wouldnt it be wonderful if it ended up, Staying like that come the years end. The Big 6 would deffo like to compete in the super league.. Oh what Man u? Pipe down.. You arent involved in this conversation!
Plus 1 goals in the table looks good. Vesty seems to have turned into the defender we hoped he'd be. I'm surprised but pleased he's found some form and confidence. I think Che is fast becoming a vital part of our attacks too. Happy days as my new team leader is a toffee and I've got a conference call with him first thing tomorrow
