You've seen a lot more of him than I have, so I hope you are right. Personally I would have broken our bank to get Marco Verratti from PSG. Anyway, hope your man Drinkwater really makes his mark and very good luck to him.
His pass completion rate has been around 75% every season for the last 4 seasons. Thats not impressive at all, thats decidedly average. Kante's was 88% last season and 82% the season before that. Cesc's has been 85% last two seasons. Luiz was 84% last season and 91% the season before that. Those are impressive pass completion stats
You have to bare in mind that percentage-wise that's more down to how we play - smash it over the top to Vardy. Therefore they don't always make it. We never have the ball and when we get it go gung ho for one attack and then get back. By pass completion I was more on about the sheer number of passes per game.
Well like I said, I hope I am pleasantly proved wrong, and will be the first to admit if thats the case. This just has shades of Scott Parker that's all.
I'd like to see him and Kante start for us(curious).....I'm happy to trust our managers judgement, we owe him after last season.
He is an option, if Baka is out or needs a rest and we want something other than Cesc, who cannot run, then its something different I suppose. And we know he and Kante can work as a CM pairing I suppose Still think it is a rather underwhelming signing though.
