feckin DLC <grr>

it is a crime that you have to pay to add in cars to remain competitive (the Mazda 787b being a prime example, same with the Mosler in Forza 3 and Ferrari F50GT in Forza 2), DLC cars should be for the enjoyment of whoever buys them but they should not have the ability to become leaderboard cars

It's a Logitech G27 with a quick release system and a SRW-S1 wheel installed.

I will dig out the web site for the quick release system, the rest can be bought from Amazon.

You can use the standard GT style wheel too.

LOL, me too. In fact one of the reason I like it so much is just the cool factor :)

Is the pointless quick release system so that when you get taken out by some ramming tosspot you can hurl it across the room in a fit of pique like a true pro driver?

It does go on a ps3. One of my friends has a G27. Pretty much all wheels go on a ps3. Unlike the Xbox which only has its official one I think. ;)

Got to admit that I’ve never used a PS3 so I don’t know how it sees the control devices.

The base is a G27, and that will work fine, but the F1 wheel is a separate controller that has its own USB cable, and needs its own drivers. I’m not sure if a PS3 will let you use more than 1 device to control the car, and I’m pretty sure that there is no PS3 drivers for the F1 style wheel.

The standard GT wheel would work fine.

Ahh, i thought we were talking about a standard G27!
That wheel would be really cool to drive with, have you tried it on any other game which isnt F1 related? It seems like it would be a bit awkward :p

Yes, I have tried the F1 style wheel with iRacing and Simraceway, driving a MX5 and Evo X. It works quite well, it feels quite good with these cars. But it's so easy to switch to the GT rim, I perfer to use that when driving GT cars.
