Yes bit of an odd one.
She obviously did not pick up the accent when she was in Walkington.
Went to see 'A Street Cat Named Bob' today. A must for all cat lovers portraying a true story set in London adapted from a best selling book. We both gave it a 10.
I watched Man On Fire again last night, Denzel Washington as the bodyguard of a young girl kidnapped in Mexico. Great film.
Nostalgia trip last night; watched Blade Runner, the Final Cut - the film may be 35 years old but, imho, it remains the benchmark for other sci-fi to measure up to.
Deepwater Horizon - took us ten minutes to understand the yanks speaking fast and technical, but well worth it; a really good watch, really well made.
Absolutely and totally agree..... superb movie... if they made it theses days they would probably **** it up...the "a time to die" line is just simply brilliant...
I haven't watched it in maybe 10/15 years - in what year is it set? Have we reached it yet? I enjoy looking at past predictions for the future and when we reach that year.
Bit of a clumsy sentence but you know what I mean.
It was set in 2019...two years from now, not sure we'll have flying cars though...
Or synthetically generated beings that are largely indistinguishable from humans...
And that...... its based on "do androids dream of electric sheep".. brilliant title, my favourite in the movie was..daryl Hannah... and the advertising poster I thought was one of the best ever...
Well, we do have Trump and Farage. Oops, no politics...
In truth is that politics or a big brother type **** program!!!
predicting the future is always tricky in Si Fi. Look at Star Trek: interstellar travel, force fields, transporters and the like all controlled by mediaeval computer technology. In some areas we have advanced faster than the writers imagined, in others, not so much.
Blade Runner is my favourite movie of all time. I can't decide whether I am looking forward to the sequel that is coming out this year, or scared that they will **** up memories of the first. I rate the director, and the screen writer, and the first trailer looked OK..
What, like a Ruskie hooligan ....
Watched Blade Runner for the first time; certainly different and well made, but I struggled with it to be fair, a tad slow and boring in places.
Collide (2016) - fast pacy nonsense. Quite enjoyed it to be honest.
Tsk. Kids today. I bet you fast forward the first half hour of Alien as well.
Thanks for the 'Kids today', made me laugh.
Alien .... couldn't stomach it ...
Just watched final episode S1 of 'Of Saints and Prophets'.
Biblical story around the fall of Saul and the rise of David. Stick with it, the Bible has remarkable stories and this gets better with each episode. Steady away TV for Bummers.
Watched Alien and Aliens back to back the other day as a tribute to John Hurt and Bill Paxman.
It might not be too bad (everything crossed), at least it's a sequel and not some stupid remake of the original, classic offering.
