    Why do people keep saying we are one of the favourites? Well everyone except the English. Do they all really think "its coming home" is anything but tongue in cheek? I look at the squads of France and a couple of others, we are outsiders. Maybe a dark horse at best! Except there is no value because of crazy people betting on them.

    Aye the idiots must have hit the bookies in their hordes. I love my country and want us to win. Phil Foden is a ****ing genius. But come on man, France have about 4 players of top level ability for every position.

    It's coming home is embarrassing.

    I find it interesting that the football fans across Britain mock Newcastle for thinking they're a big club saying they've won **** all for 50 years and then proceed go on as if England are a big football nation singing footballs coming home the last 30 years

    We could win it, but it would be a surprise if we did.

    We have a promising but unproven young team. A lot of people will look at the fact we were World Cup semi-finalists and forget the easy run we had to get there. Others will just look at the world rankings which would put us as 3rd favourites, but which aren't exactly reliable. I think we have a decent team, but it will need to move to the next level to beat France or Italy.

    Need some luck but you always do regardless. I think if we didn't have such a bang average defence, average goalie options, and a central midfield just below top level, we'd be a real force. Just half the team then <laugh>

    I was laughing my socks off at instagram the other day with some dude trying to convince people we had the best squad. I thought he was joking but by the 15th reply to people I realised he was completely delusional. I checked and he wasn't from Newcastle.
