    Just reminded me, Xmas 1962, my mother said to me she had asked my cousin what she wanted for Xmas.
    My mum said she said she wanted the records by the Beatles and The Ronettes. She had heard of the
    Ronettes but who were these Beatles? Boy, did things change quickly in a few weeks.
    Looking back a single then cost more than 3 pints and an album the equivalent on that basis of £30.

    I like Birmingham. I go twice a year for an afternoon/evening booze-up and meal with old pals. If you pick your pubs carefully it can be a good little tour, good beer and interesting pubs. Also been round the canals on a narrow boat, interesting to see the arse end of the city from the water.

    Don't think I'd want to live there though...
