It was to do with concessions. Pointing out a PL club was offering better ones for games against more attractive opposition and how their concessions was ensuring a new generation of young fans would be hooked, which ours don’t. If we are limited to talking about Championship connected things why do you spend so much time discussing VAR decisions in Premier League games and other stuff concerning PL clubs?

PL club concessions are heavily subsidised by other significant revenue streams, which is why your PL concessions point was totally irrelevant (SKY money etc). PL teams don’t rely on gate receipts so they can offer hugely discounted tickets if they choose to do so. Our income will be more dependent on gate receipts, so our pricing expectations have to be more realistic.

I have just bought my lad membership as it’s £3 a month as he’s under 10 - even if he only makes one game a month. That is great value for money. So, maybe the penny has dropped that we need people through the turnstiles to help cover overheads with our owners who are now trying to encourage the next generation.

It doesn’t make what the owners of our club have previously done forgivable. But it means at least I can watch Championship football with my lad at what I feel is an acceptable price, plus he loves going.
