CONTROVERSIAL comedian Roy “Chubby” Brown is set to play at a North Yorkshire theatre despite the day being initially cancelled and reports of planned protests. Mr Brown, who has had a number of gigs cancelled in the past, told his followers on social media that he had been told his gig at the Whitby Pavilion had been cancelled. Saw Chubby a few years ago in Stoke he was fooking brilliant. Audience was a mix of all races and creeds and everyone was falling off their chairs laughing. A refreshing change and non pc but brilliant.
His son was at the same school as me. Chubby's a very funny guy, if a little controversial for modern times. My biggest problem was I could barely decipher his accent despite living in the same town he was from for about 7 years... so i've no idea how anyone else understands him!
I was using a cross trainer next to Chubby at a hotel in Preston, a good few years ago,, 10 minutes, he was absolutely ****ed.
